As usually, I ignored all the pretentious hate surrounding this game and enjoyed it for what it is - a brilliant, action packed, violent slash ‘em up game with great mechanics and stunning graphics.The Truth- The story mode is really great, following the knights, vikings and samurai over about 5 battles each. I have happily re-played several times on several difficulties and had a blast. I’ve probably spent about 15 blissful hours violently beheading people on the battlefield.- The game mechanics and battle violence are brilliant and i haven’t seen anything similar since Ryse: Son of Rome, which received similar hate despite being a fantastic launch game at the time.- Looks astoundingly beautiful on PS4 Pro, especially the gore.- The multiplayer servers are undoubtedly an issue, with annoying dropouts and load times, i’ve experienced nothing worse than Rainbox Six Siege though, and recent updates on the servers have fixed it up considerably. But again, there’s a lot more value to the game than just whining about the servers when there’s a whole campaign to play.For Fans OfRyse: Son Of Rome, Dynasty Warriors, Shadow Of Mordor, Assassins CreedDon’t believe all the negativity, for £20 odd pound, it’s worth it for the head crushing, fire bombing, slashing violence and gore of the campaign alone.
