When I got it I worked right a way didn't have to do anything extra to use itPerfect works amazingIt worked at first on my PS4 then I moved it to my Xbox and I couldn't see it. Then I tried it on my computer and it wouldn't read. But once I disconnected and reconnected the cable from the drive itself, it started working on my Xbox and on my computer.I got one for myself and it worked right away just fine and so far many months in its still perfect. I got one for my brother however and his did not work and needed the wire replaced before it worked for him, but after that it's working perfectly for him as well. It plugs right into the ps4 in able to work if that's what you choose to use it for so make sure you have an available USB porn strait into the system otherwise it will not work. All this time is has been worth it though.Didn’t work at all. Didn’t even read on two PCS and a Mac. I had to try to connect it to a chromebook where I was able to download and format it the way it was required. Then when I plugged it into the PS4 it wouldn’t read at all and the whole reason I bought it was so I could use my PS4 again but its useless. A waste of money and 3 hours.Definitely worth it for 500gbThis works with the mediasonic digital converter box to record broadcast tvLet me amend this review:The 500 gb model doesn't work so well with the digital tuner. The 320 gb model works very wellIt was good while it lasted had many games on it......ps4. really worth it. I had all the games I played downloaded but not every game. It was a steal for the price
