Product Description When eight friends become trapped on a remote mountain getaway gone wrong, things quickly turn sinister and they start to suspect they aren’t alone. Gripped by fear and with tensions in the group running high, you’ll be forced to make snap decisions that could mean life or death for everyone involved. Every choice you make while playing as each of the eight friends – even the seemingly trivial ones – will carve out your own unique story. With spine-tingling performances from a Hollywood cast including Hayden Panettiere (Heroes, Nashville) brought to life with the power of PlayStation 4 – your actions alone will decide who survives Until Dawn. Gripping story – Set at an isolated mountain lodge where nothing is as it seems, 8 friends try to stay alive with a killer on the loose. Players define the relationships between the characters through dialogue and experience the night from their unique point of view. Written in collaboration with famed horror writers and directors Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick, find out who will survive Until Dawn. Next gen Horror – Harnessing the power of an evolved Killzone Shadowfall engine, this 3rd person interactive horror will shock and horrify players thanks to its realistic graphics and edge of your seat gameplay as they navigate their way through a terrifying night. The DualShock 4 motion sensor functionality will track how still you can be whilst in hiding from Until Dawn’s fearsome terrors and the camera will capture player scares as they happen to share with friends. "Butterfly Effect" – Players carve their path to survival with branching story lines which mean that no two stories will be the same. Decisions, big and small, will shape each player’s unique story. Inspired by the chaos theory, the butterfly effect could make trivial split-second decisions ripple into moments of grave peril. unjtil dawn is an awesome game.my copy works great.very happy with seller.would order from them again.Great game, more like interactive cinema. That said, it was a gorgeous game with a fun horror movie story and you are in some way responsible for the life and death of everyone in the game. That made it very engrossing for me. Has some replay value but not nearly enough. The story has real variation on replay but could have had a lot more in my opinion. Regardless if you like horror movies and video games this should be a fun one for you. This is probably the best game I have ever played. It was really a lot of fun! Just don’t play it alone :)The cinematics are beautiful. The storyline is great! The ability to play different characters to further t plot is original and highly enjoyable. The game teaches you how to play as it goes. Brilliant. The stakes rise as you progress so that mistakes early in the game are forgiving, but later those mistakes will cost lives. A smart piece of work. A masterpiece!GoodThis game is great. You can play it multiple times for different endings and events to occur throughout the game. I got it as a gift for Christmas. My wife and I have played through a couple of times. Good jump scares and creepy story. Many describe Until Dawn as an interactive movie. The characters are all unique, and you play as each as you traverse a mountain wrought with a dark history and potential horror. The story is engrossing and countless potential endings make replay value fairly decent. In essence, Until Dawn is a horror story with quicktime nightmares and quite a few twists. Completion time can be 10+ hours.I love creepy games but after about 10 or more minutes of playing it you find out its more of jump scares than anything. Also it has a lot of suggesting towards "intercourse" which after awhile gets irritating but it doesn't really show anything, other than that its a very detailed game. This is an incredible gaming experience and super uniqueAtmospheric: recalls feelings of playing Resident Evil 1 for the first time.Well written: characters you initially hate begin to grow on you, and vice versa. Each character is well rounded and the voice acting is well delivered/directed, with a level of subtlety seen only in games like Last of Us.Few people mention the music, which is subtle, creepy, atmospheric and none-fatiguing. Most horror films aren't scored nearly this well..I'm only half way through the game, but needed to post about my new found love for this game. Will you like it?It's a combination of: RE - Code Veronica, Heavy Rain and Cabin in the Woods. If you like any, or all, of these movies/games then I suggest you try Until Dawn asap.Last word: here's a true story for you gamers... so, i was offered a job (animation) on this title, by the lovely people at SuperMassive. And I turned it down to work on RYSE: Son of Rome. What a mistake... UGH. But I'm paying back what I owe to the animation Gods, as I am now animating on Jungle Book (new movie releasing in Oct 2018).This game is what you hear either way, which is called the butter fly effect, you have choices that are vital to the outcome to the game, but these choices are in minutes to the characters that you will play as and go along with them. Basically it's a group of young adults, that are returning to a secluded cabin, just only one year on the anniversary of there two friends that had gone missing and presumed to be dead, from the start, you could tell whatever had happened to the two sisters is going to happen to the sisters friends, one by one. The story flows through different relationships between the different characters, each decision made or response or something said will pave the path to the characters survival or demise.Cons- Not many, were just dying to know the story more in-depth, if you do not like gore then this is not for you.Pros- Good story line, there's a little humour to begin with, choice of characters is good enough and who you choose and it's really intense and gory and it can make you jump a lot.I have never reviewed a game before, but here goes...After playing far too much assassins creed, i was looking for a different game to try out (without breaking the bank). This game is now at a great price, so on that basis i would say, buy now!! But i would have been really disappointed if i had paid more. So, to start of with i would say this game is 1. REALLY SCARY and 2. REALLY CLEVER.I won't give any spoilers away as i don't want to ruin it for you, so i will just say that the game starts out with a bunch 10 friends who go to a cabin on a mountain, 2 of them die, and so the story is all about the remaining 8 friends going back to the mountain on the 1 year anniversary of their death. It is up to you who survives 'until dawn', and to also uncover the secrets that lurk in the mountains! The 'Butterfly effect' aspect to the game is really clever, and there is a menu in the game that explains how one decision you made led to another. So it really is true how no 2 games are the same! There are some points in the game where you have to make decisions as to how you want the story to play out, but be warned, some of them are quick fire, so you have to make split second decisions, which could be the difference between that person living, and dying! The game is super scary too, there are moments where you are made jump, and others where the tension is too much to bear. So this game isn't for the faint hearted (or maybe I'm a scaredy-cat! Lol!)So without giving too much away, hopefully i have explained how the game works and what to expect. I would definitely recommend the game, it is really good and really clever. could be played multiple times (however, i won't be playing it again).I managed to kill 5 people, my friend only killed 2, so just goes to show that the game really can be completely different for 2 people. So, for the negatives...The only 2 negatives i would say is that a couple of the characters, the acting isn't great, so not that convincing (Rami Malek is obviously great!), and the other negative would be that the game is quite short. I completed it in a couple of nights playing. There are 10 chapters in the game, but some of them are really short, so again, for the price of the game, i wouldn't pay any more than i did (18.99) otherwise i would think i have wasted my money.First of all, I'm a fan of 'Survival Horror' games, having previous played through 'Alien: Isolation' & 'The Last Of Us: Remastered'.Having read all the reviews, this is one of the games that persuaded me to go for the PS4. What can I say......I LOVE THIS GAME. I don't scare that easily, whether it be horror movies or games!Where do I start with this game?Graphics/Game Engine/Sound: All of which have a movie quality, especially if you're playing on a larger TV through a 5.1 home cinema (Like I have been). The likeness of the cast (Hayden Panetierre, Peter Stormare, etc) is absolutely spot on.Story: A group of friends re-visit a ski lodge/cabin a year after something happens to 2 of their other friends the year before & things take a turn for the worst! You need to survive 'Until Dawn'. There are also a few twists & turns too.Gameplay: This is based on the 'Butterfly Effect' & 'Chaos Theory', whereby, whatever actions you take early on in the game, affect the story & characters further down the line. so no 2 stories play out exactly the same.Scare Factor: Working my way through this game, at some points I've had goosebumps & the hairs on my arms stand on end, just from the slow build & tension, which then leads to a false scare. When the scares DID come, my god, I literally jumped off the sofa.Overall: 10/10.This game is WELL worth the money. If, like me, you're a 'Survival horror' fan, this is DEFINATELY a game for your collection.Excellent atmospheric horror video game. Some people might call it an interactive video game because you don't really get to do much gaming.Story in a nutshell, two girls go missing one night in a cabin in the woods scenario. One year later, their friends return to the cabin, and they find out some frightening things about the place. All of the characters are motion captured by real actors, the most famous being that cute girl from Heroes (the tv show that went from great to er, what is going on?). Throughout the story, you get to control each of the characters as you find out what really happened one year ago.The story is nothing special but it keeps the suspense up with a couple surprising turns. The QTEs are expected but you can easily fail them which means that you get to lose one branch of the story. The story is branched which means there are several endings depending on what choices you make throughout the game. Because there is only one save, it's difficult to go back and redo some sections. You may have to redo lots of sections to see what the consequences are made by your actions.I'd suggest you play blind in the first playthrough (not literally blind), and then replay it to see the different endings. Or just see them on Youtube if you can't be bothered.
